Story
Please get behind us and get yourself a tax deduction pre-June 30 as we raise money this year for childhood cancer. This cause is close to our hearts, as one of our staff members children are currently receiving treatment.
Why We’re Participating
Childhood cancer is a devastating reality for many families. The fight against this illness requires significant resources for research, treatments, and support services. By participating in the Bridge to Brisbane, we aim to contribute to these efforts and help make a life-changing difference for young patients and their families.
How You Can Help
Your generosity can inspire hope, drive innovation, and create a brighter future for children battling cancer. Every dollar donated brings us one step closer to a world where every child has the chance to live a healthy, cancer-free life.

Childhood Cancer Support Inc
Childhood Cancer Support is a family-focused charity that was formed in 1975 when a group of desperate parents, with children being treated for leukaemia and cancer, met to discuss ways of helping each other and their children. Childhood cancers and leukaemia are distinctly different from their adult forms and, recognising this, these visionaries identified the need to help all members of the family when their children were diagnosed with cancer.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it impacts the whole family. Childhood Cancer Support provides a range of services to help families stay together, and close to the care they need. We support our families during this time by providing a stable living environment close to the hospital. A home away from home, where families can have a meal after a long day of treatment complimentary patient transport.
To meet the demand in supporting more regional families impacted by childhood cancer, we are redeveloping and renovating five old houses into a 15-unit accommodation facility for families to call home whilst their child undergoes life-saving cancer treatment at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. The $10 million capital works project will offer a further 5,475 nights of accommodation to more than 60 families each year. All funds raised, will go directly towards funding this new accommodation center.
